Technical Data Analyst - Salt Lake City, UT
- Responsible for collecting, validating, modeling and analyzing data for the organization.
- Prepares statistical and narrative reports, recommendations and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.
- Coordinates, facilitates and provides analytical support to other departments and managers as needed.
- Develops, maintains and ensure quality control of databases.
- May assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.
- Designs and/or develops specific databases for collection, tracking and reporting.
- Responsible to develop key metrics, design and implementation of initiatives and processes.
- Interpret performance trends, identify root causes behind the trends and contributes to the development of performance improvement efforts.
- Performs special projects as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires a Bachelors in business, finance or a related field and 4+ years experience in statistical/data analysis, modeling, business systems, data bases or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of statistical modeling and analysis.
- Ability to gather and analyze statistical data, utilize statistical computer software, manage and meet deadlines.
- Advanced analysis, research and presentation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of data bases, report writing, statistical software and MS office applications.
- Advanced working knowledge of project techniques and practices.
- Strong problem solving, root cause analysis and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.
