Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst. This Business Analyst will be an integral part of our Credit Systems Management team located in Salt Lake City, UT.


The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Work with various business users to review, analyze and evaluate business processes, procedures, systems and data, and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
  • Design, develop and maintain high quality reports to support customer requirements.
  • Perform and participate in the analysis, design and implementation of business processes and procedures.
  • Be responsible for following appropriate standards of requirements gathering.
  • Be responsible for issue and root cause analysis.
  • Formulate proposals for new procedures and/or processes.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing, provide input for feasibility and prepare user documentation and follow-up evaluation.
  • Act as a liaison to management and staff as needed to resolve issues.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
  • 2-4 or more years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence analysis, processes, procedures, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, etc. or other directly related experience.
  • Ability to elicit, gather and document requirements, and analyze user needs.
  • Working knowledge of business process and procedure improvement, systems and project techniques and practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Experience with SAP reporting (e.g. BusinessObjects and Crystal Reports) and/or Microsoft SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) preferred.
  • Experience with system interfaces (file-based, web services, etc.)
  • Data conversion experience.
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of department-specific processes and procedures helpful.
