Engagement Owner - Third Party Risk Management

We are currently seeking an Engagement Owner – Third Party Risk Management to join our Supply Chain Management Team. This position is located in our West Valley office.
Serves as a primary owner of continual risk assessment activities throughout the third-party lifecycle, to ensure quality control and consistency of execution for third-parties and individual third-party engagements. Conducts ongoing monitoring activities and collates / distributes reporting to senior management. Identifies escalation topics and facilitates conversations with the business regarding third party termination and need for action plans. The successful candidate should have a degree in Business, Finance or equivalent third-party risk management experience or certifications. She/he should have a knowledge of third-party risk management and third-party risk regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Be primary owner of risk assessment activities throughout the third-party lifecycle, to ensure quality control and consistency of execution for third parties and individual third-party engagements
- Conduct and oversee ongoing monitoring activities and collate / distribute reporting to senior management
- Identify escalation topics and facilitate conversations with the business regarding third-party termination and need for action plans
- Support the validation of inputs into inherent risk assessments from the business, by understanding both technical and business topics related to the third-party in question
- Liaise with and provide guidance to Relationship Owners regarding risk assessments and implications for proposed third-party usage
- Translate business requirements into guidance for Contracting team as it relates to third-party risk
- Map contractual terms into ongoing monitoring requirements and standards
- Ensure controls are in place and regularly tested to manage the risks associated with third-party relationships
- Monitory compliance with contractual agreements (SLAs, KPIs)
- Create reports identifying risks in the overall third-party portfolio with summaries of material issues with third-parties and associated risks
- Use initiative to escalate issues or concerns arising from ongoing monitoring, such as an increase in risk, material weaknesses, repeat audit findings, deterioration in financial condition, security breaches, data loss, service or system interruptions or compliance lapses, etc.
- Support business units in creating and updating termination plans based upon changing information emerging from monitoring activities (e.g. changes in Zions situation, third party situation)
- Work collaboratively with other teams in supply chain management as well as with stakeholders across the business
- Work collaboratively with the third-party risk management team and risk owners within the business to ensure consistency in procedures and processes across the organization
- Keep current on regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a degree in Business, Finance or related field Experience in third-party risk management, vendor management, or equivalent experience or certifications
Necessary Skills:
- Knowledge of third-party risk management, vendor management, regulatory requirements and reporting
- Must have problem solving, communication, project and third-party relationship management skills
- Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions
- Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards
- Ability to deal effectively with people in various job capacities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
