Systems Engineer - Digital Experience Platform
Come join our new Digital Experience Platform (DXP) team at Zions Bancorporation as a Systems Engineer! This team is responsible for implementing the next generation of UX for our 8 regional bank brands. The DXP team will deliver a modern, consistent, visually appealing, and intuitive experience throughout the customer’s entire digital journey.
When you join Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations division, you will be part of a huge movement to improve how customers bank through technology innovations. The Platform teams are operating in a DevOps fashion supporting both development and operations, creating opportunity to provide innovative solutions to business use cases as well as operation support. This person will support the platform for the Scrum team assisting with configuration, deployment, CI/CD, automated testing, etc.
This individual will:
- Be responsible for DXP environment and configuration (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod and DR) on containers running an application server associated micro-services.
- Participate in the design, development and support of environment.
- Assist with troubleshooting code, sites and applications hosted on Containers (Docker on VM servers).
- Maintain and perform backups and restorations as needed in support of daily operations and DR.
- Research, analyze and make recommendations for technology features and functionality for the environment supporting DXP application and micro-services hosting.
- Troubleshoot and identify potential problems and making appropriate recommendations and changes as necessary
- Ensure that projects are completed efficiently and timely.
- Handle problem diagnosis and resolution, documentation, etc., as needed.
- Participate in sprint planning and execution.
- Support scrum team w/ ongoing development
- Production support including operation issues as well as deployments
- Work with CI/CD group on maintaining and improving deployment processes
- Requires a Bachelors in computer science, information systems, other related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience with systems engineering and support, systems analysis, programing or other directly related experience with web sites and web site application development and support. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Experience with development and deployment tools, such as Maven, Git, Maven, uDeploy, Docker
- Familiarity with team based software develop platforms such as Atlassian, ADO, etc.
- Familiar with CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment) concepts and practices
- Experience with automated testing and integration with deployment methodologies.
- Good understating of Containers / Networking / firewalls / F5 / DNS / Clustering
- Must have strong analysis, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Requires project management skills to be able to work in an environment of multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines and creatively solve problems.
- Ability to identify and solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of secure web application development practices is desirable.
- Ability to work with other division/departments.
